The 25th AEMP Management Conference was another record breaker, growing by 13 percent over the 2006 conference numbers. Attendees were wowed by presentations from Chad Hymas and the high quality of education provided throughout the conference.

The 25th Annual Management Conference also experienced the largest number of exhibitors in AEMP history with 33 and a waiting list to get into the show.

Three members were recognized at the Inaugural Luncheon and Awards Presentation. Bob Decker, past AEMP president and current chair of the AEMP Foundation, was recognized as the AEMP Member of the Year. Decker has been instrumental in the growth of the Foundation, launching the Legacy Scholarship program and developing a strategy that is providing the AEMP Foundation the financial resources that will move the CEM program and overall AEMP educational offerings to the next level of excellence.

International Truck & Engine Corp. received the Associate of the Year Award for their great support of AEMP over the past year, including the contribution of a 2006 International 7600 that launched an unprecedented fundraising effort for the AEMP Foundation. Vince Cerni accepted the award for International and presented the ceremonial $128,000 check to Bob Decker, chairof the AEMP Foundation.

Finally, Rebecca Brown of QUALCOMM, and an AEMP board member, was the recipient of the 2007 Richard Hawkins Award that recognizes individual associates for their great support of AEMP. Through Brown's efforts, countless activities take place that support AEMP. For the 2007 Conference alone, Brown and her team provided lanyards for name badges, created the schedule book and the pocket schedules, co-sponsored the Technician of the Year luncheon, and provided ball washers for the 2nd Annual Legacy Golf Tournament. In addition, Brown, via her role as the chair of the Membership Committee, directed the development of a new membership brochure that was introduced at the 25th AEMP Management Conference.

These leaders are working to make AEMP the leading fleet management association in the country, and their efforts are truly appreciated.
