2007 Engines Power New Mack Class 8 Trucks

Mack Granite MP SeriesClass 8 trucks feature Mack's new MP engines with high-performance cooled EGR (HEGR) technology. Available in Econodyne, Maxidyne and MaxiCruise, the 11-liter MP7 engine offers six horsepower ratings from 325 to 405. Torque ranges from 1,260 to 1,560 lbs.-ft. Also available in Mack's three engine families, the 13-liter MP8 engine features ratings from 415 to 485 horsepower with torque levels from 1,540 to 1,700 lbs.-ft. The latest Vehicle Management and Control System (V-MAC IV) provides customer-programmable features including idle shutdown, theft deterrence, tamper detection and daytime-running-light override.
