Wirtgen W 220 Milling Machine

The 766-horsepower W 220 milling machine mills up to 14 inches deep at a width of 87 inches. Operating weight is 80,160 pounds, and it can produce up to 900 tons per hour. Three different milling drum speeds can be adjusted from the operator’s platform: high speed for large-scale milling of thin lifts, medium for standard surface courses, and low speed for optimized fuel consumption and low cutting tool wear. The standard milling width can be extended with additional drum units for working widths of 8.2, 10.2, 11.5, 12.5, up to a maximum 14.4 feet.
