Volvo Trucks of North America is recalling 1,025 of its 2011 to 2015 VNL and 2014 to 2015 NVM trucks manufactured between Nov. 17, 2010 and Feb. 5, 2014, according to TruckingInfo.
In addition, Daimler Trucks North America is recalling 194 of its model year 2015 Freightliner Cascadia, 122SD, and Business Class M2 trucks manufactured between March 20, 2014 and April 10, 2014.
The braking component of the affected Volvo trucks’ enhanced cruise control system can become disabled, the report says. Volvo will update the software free of charge.
The Daimler Trucks vehicles may have weak spots in axle beams, which could lead to wheel separation. Dealers will inspect the beams and replace those affected free of charge.
