Volvo EC250E, 300E Excavators

July 14, 2014

Models EC250E and EC300E crawler excavators have been upgraded with compliant Tier 4-Final Volvo engines. Coupled with the engines, hydraulic system improvements have improved fuel efficiency by 5 percent over predecessor models, Volvo says. ECO mode automatically reduces consumption without loss of performance, and the operator can also manually control flow using the integrated work mode system. Proportional two-pump flow gives the operator better control, according to the company. The attachment-management system stores the settings for up to 20 different attachments, and can also store rated flow and relief pressure in some cases. The After Treatment Control Module automatically controls, monitors and diagnoses after treatment. In the cab, a keypad allows the operator to navigate through the LCD monitor and activate machine functions.
