Vermeer D20x22 Series II Navigator horizontal directional drill provides 2,200 ft.-lb. of torque and 20,000 lb. of thrust/pullback. An 83-hp Kubota turbocharged diesel powers the unit, and it carries 350 feet of rod. Standard AutoDrill feature adjusts the bore or pullback speed based on soil conditions, the company says. It is also compatible with the company’s Rock Adaptable Terrain Tool sysystem (RATT), which enables it to drill through various soils without specialized machines.
