Topcon Positioning Systems' P-32 asphalt paving control system features the new GC-35 full-color, graphical display control box, the company's Sonic Tracker slope sensor, and is fully compatible with Topcon's Smoothtrac sonic averaging system.
The P-32 system is designed to allow for control of both sides of the paver by one operator. The operator can view elevation and slope values of the screed from a single box. The GC-35 box has a 3.5 inch, full-color LED display designed for use in bright or low light.
Water- and dustproof with an IP67 rating, the box is built to handle harsh conditions encountered in the field, Topcon says. It is also designed to stay up-to-date with firmware updates enabled through a USB connection, and is backward compatible to Topcon System 5 paving control systems.
