Top 100: Simplicity Makes Welder More Durable

Sept. 28, 2010

Lincoln's Vantage 500 multi-process welder makes a bid for maximum reliability, ease of use, and minimal maintenance, starting with a single full-range dial that adjusts all welding modes. A significant reduction of internal electrical connections improves reliability. Stainless-steel roof, side panels, and engine-access door add to the machine's overall durability. The machine provides 500 amps of pure welding power at 100 percent duty cycle, or 575 amps at 50 percent duty cycle. And the standard unit delivers 12,000 watts of AC generator power even while welding at up to 250 amps. Estimated list price: $11,096 to $11,959.
