Tappan Zee Funding Remains Unclear

As construction continues on the new Tappan Zee Bridge, which will cover a 3-mile stretch of the Hudson River in New York, it is unclear how the $3.9 billion will be funded, according to The New York Times.

As construction continues on the new Tappan Zee Bridge, which will cover a 3-mile stretch of the Hudson River in New York, it is unclear how the $3.9 billion will be funded, according to The New York Times.

The New York State Thruway Authority says bonds, paid for by tolls, will fund the bridge. Some government officials remain skeptical, as the $3.9 billion total does not account for interest on the bonds or the cost of a new proposed bus service for the bridge.
