State Department Extends Keystone Review

The U.S. Department of State released a statement Friday, indicating that it will extend its review of the proposed Keystone Pipeline Project as it waits for resolution in the Nebraska Supreme Court.

The U.S. Department of State released a statement Friday, indicating that it will extend its review of the proposed Keystone Pipeline Project as it waits for resolution in the Nebraska Supreme Court. In February, a Nebraska judge overturned the law that allowed Gov. Dave Heineman to approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline through the state.

The department will be using the additional time to review and consider the 2.5 million public comments it received, the statement says.
