Snorkel AB46 Self Propelled Aerial Lift Platform

Sept. 28, 2010

As the Tanfield Group continues to integrate leading UpRight products into the Snorkel product line it acquired last year, a new Snorkel articulated self-propelled boom lift is being put to work in North America. Offered as either an electric two-wheel-drive or diesel-powered four-wheel-drive unit, the Snorkel AB46 combines a working height up to 52 feet 9 inches with a turning radius of less than 24 inches. With fully-proportional controls operating all boom functions, the self-propelled aerial platform is hard-wired with a relay logic control system for simple troubleshooting.

As part of the Snorkel design improvement, the traditional pinion and swing bearing for swing drive replaces integral worm drive, while an electric emergency lowering unit replaces a hand pump.
