All have diesel or diesel/electric power versions available, and remote control is standard. The LC785, a 5.4-ton-capacity model, is fitted with a 51-foot boom and is designed with near-zero tail swing. While MC-Series models have multi-position, fold-out outriggers, the LC model’s design is similar to that of a mini-excavator, except that is uses a telescopic boom instead of a digging arm. A blade option for dirt moving will be offered in the near future.

All Maeda mini-cranes offer a load-moment-limiter system, anti-two-block system and multiple warning/ shutdown systems. All have undergone ASME B30.5 review, and offer EPA-compliant engines.
