Sept. 28, 2010

GOMACO’s roller-compacted concrete (RCC) paver combines the power, capacity and mobility of the company’s RTP-500 rubber-tracked placer with a GOMACO-designed screed capable of handling harsh, zero-slump RCC mix designs. The RTP-500 is powered by a 250-horsepower John Deere 6068H diesel, and its 4 ¾-cubic-yard hopper moves material quickly with a 14-inch-diameter auger. The sectional RCC screed with a hydraulic crown adjustment adapts to various widths.

Hydraulic variable control of screed vibration consolidates the mix., The RTP-500’s friction-driven track, with the RCC screed attached, travels at up to 9 miles per hour, and operates at up to 110 feet per minute.
