A choice of two models is available in Caterpillar Paving's CB-300E compactor series—the vibratory double-drum CB-334E and the combination CB-335E—having operating weights of 8,731 and 8,092 pounds, respectively. These easy-to-use machines, says Caterpillar, feature a sliding operator's station, which moves side-to-side and locks in three positions to enhance sight lines to drum and tire edges. The 50-hp Cat 3024 diesel engine powers both new models, and the vibratory system for both delivers a high 4,140 vpm. Estimated list prices: $53,800 to $54,160.
