A group of senators from both parties is asking President Obama for a meeting about the Keystone XL pipeline.

The Hill/E2 Wire blog reports that a letter from 18 senators, led by Sens. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) and Max Baucus (D-Mont.), and announced via press release, calls for “setting politics aside,” urging Obama to back the project. The White House did not comment.
