Eighty-one years after the brand was established, the 20 millionth Perkins engine, a 1206 two-stage turbo Tier 4 diesel, rolled off the production line at the company’s facility in Peterborough, U.K.

Eighty-one years after the brand was established, the 20 millionth Perkins engine, a 1206 two-stage turbo Tier 4 diesel, rolled off the production line at the company’s facility in Peterborough, U.K.

The engine will go on display at the Peterborough facility. At least 4.5 million of the 20 million engines built are still in service, the company says.
