New St. Louis Parking Garage

St. Louis— Plans have been unveiled for a $16-million, 192,000-square-foot Justice Center Garage. The garage will be erected on the pre-existing surface lot located at the northeast corner of Tucker Boulevard and Clark Avenue next to the Chouteau Building. Upon completion, it will be utilized by employees working in the area's newly-developed office and business space and serve as the linchpin for sports parking and a catalyst for further revitalization in and around Cupples Station.

Upon completion, it will be utilized by employees working in the area's newly-developed office and business space and serve as the linchpin for sports parking and a catalyst for further revitalization in and around Cupples Station.

Construction of the eight-level Justice Center Garage is scheduled to be completed by February 2009. The garage will have approximately 520 parking spaces above its 10,000-square-foot, ground-level retail center. The facility will be surrounded by 20-foot sidewalks.

Chicago-based DESMAN Associates has been hired as the project's engineering and architectural firm. Locally based C. Rallo Contracting Co. Inc. will serve as the construction manager.
