Beginning in 2015, Navistar will no longer build Ford Motor Co.’s F-650 and F-750 commercial trucks; Ford will make the trucks itself, according to an article from the Wall Street Journal.

According to Navistar CEO Troy Clarke, the company’s strategy to recover from this loss is to target high-volume truck buyers with a wider variety of product offerings and customization options, the report says.

The new Ford trucks will use the same engines, transmissions and cab components as the other F-series vehicles, and will be made at an existing E-series van factory in Avon Lake, Ohio.
