The iSite system from MicroLogic is an integrated fleet-management system that transmits location, run hours, and key operating parameters of equipment to an office PC—in real time—using satellite communications, GPS-positioning and Internet technologies. A low-power transponder installed on the machine collects location data from a GPS unit, plus machine operational data from sensors. This information is sent via satellite and wireless networks to MicroLogic's Information Management Facility, which analyzes and formats the data. This information is then transmitted via the Internet to the client's computer.
