Michigan Road Projects to Receive Extra Funding

More than 100 transportation projects throughout Michigan will receive additional funding from the state’s Roads and Risks Reserve Fund, according to the American Association of State and Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO).

More than 100 transportation projects throughout Michigan will receive additional funding from the state’s Roads and Risks Reserve Fund, according to the American Association of State and Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO).

The $230 million fund was created as part of the Legislature’s fiscal year 2014 General Government budget. Half of the fund was available on Oct. 1, 2013 and the remaining half will be available for appropriation for road projects on Feb. 1, 2014, AASHTO says.
