New generation XDR2 rigid dump truck tire offers 20 percent more tread for greater wear and durability than its predecessor. Currently available in 27R49 size, others will be available later in 2011. The XDR2 also delivers up to a 10-percent thicker undertread between the protective plies and tread base for better cut and impact resistance. With a new self-cleaning tread pattern, the XDR2 tire combines full-depth blocks, a 13-percent larger central lug, and the new nondirectional design to provide increased protection against aggressions and cut separations.
Engineered for large rigid-frame haul trucks, the new Michelin XDR2 tire is available in sizes ranging from 27.00 R 49 to 59/80R 63.
The 35/65R33 Michelin XTXL tire is designed to support underground transport equipment having load capacities up to 60 metric tons.
