Model McL-48/54 auger boring machine is capable of cased boring sizes ranging from a 16- to 60-inch diameter. A new quick-connect split-design feature enables machine components to individually be moved in and out of the trench, reducing required lift capacity and making it easier to position the machine, the company says. The machine develops 950,000 pounds forward thrust at 5,000 psi, and 170,000 ft.lbs. auger torque in 1st gear.
