Three models lead the D-Series excavator line, powered by Cummins Tier 3 diesels: 915D, 922D and 936D. Mid-size 915D has an operating weight of 31,460 pounds, is powered by a 102-horsepower engine, and digs to19 feet 3 inches. Production-class 922D weighs 50,500 pounds, has a 142-horsepower engine, and digs to 21 feet 8 inches. The company’s largest excavator, the 936D, weighs 81,571 pounds, has a 260-horsepower engine, and digs to 24 feet 1 inch. Computer-aided power control hydraulic system automatically matches hydraulic output flow to the application.
