The 126,000-pound R 956 excavator replaces the R 954 and features improvements to the upper carriage’s steelwork to extend service life. Its 6-cylinder engine is Tier 4-Interim compliant and has common rail fuel injection, an external exhaust gas recirculation system, and a diesel particulate filter with active regeneration.
