With the new 285 EC-B 12 Litronic, Liebherr has introduced its range of Flat-Top cranes to U.S. customers. As are all cranes in the EC-B range, the 285 EC-B 12 Litronic is designed as a modular concept, which assures compatibility of the tower systems within the range. The central feature of the new Flat-Top crane, says Liebherr, is its compact head, a completely pre-assembled unit that contains the removable cab, switchgear cabinet, jib folding frame, slewing gear, slewing ring (with slewing ring support), and current collector. The 285 EC-B 12 Litronic is designed to ship in standard sea-freight containers and the counter jib is designed for optimum transport convenience.
The LR614 and LR624 join Liebherr’s range of crawler loaders powered by Tier-3-compliant engines.
According to Liebherr, the design of LR1200SX lattice-boom crawler crane resulted in part from the request of a large North American crane-rental company that saw a market for a higher-capacity version of the company's 250-ton-rated LR1200. The result of that idea, the LR1200SX, is a crawler crane that provides higher capacities at shorter radii.
