Sept. 28, 2010

Chicago— Barton Malow Co. is the preconstruction manager for the new research pavilion addition to the University of Chicago's Joseph Regenstein Library. The $50-million project, designed by architectural firm Murphy/Jahn, is scheduled to begin construction in spring. The addition includes approximately 60,000 square feet of new construction, an oval footprint, at the corner of S. Ellis Ave. and E. 57th St. on the university's Hyde Park campus. A new bridge will connect the addition to the existing library.
