Leica Geosystems and SwissDrones will develop a UAV-based platform for photogrammetric mapping applications.
Leica Geosystems, a manufacturer of airborne mapping solutions, together with SwissDrones, a Swiss-based engineering company for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), have agreed to collaborate for developing a UAV-based platform for photogrammetric mapping applications.
According to the partners, integrating a multispectral metric camera, such as the Leica RCD30, with a suitable UAV and workflow will allow developing a system for use in traditional mapping applications or in other applications, such as mining and monitoring.
