Leading Edge Attachments’ Hi-Cap Multi-Ripper Bucket outfits excavators in the 120-metric-ton size class (220,000 to 300,000 pounds) for digging in rock. The maker says its SHARC (staggered shanks on an arc) technology allows the Hi-Cap Multi-Ripper Bucket to slice through any rock that can be ripped. Distance from the excavator stick pivot to the tooth tips is shorter than with the standard bucket for the machine, multiplying tooth tip force. Multi-Ripper Bucket sides are made of 3-inch-thick Swedish Hardox 400 steel.

With a "staggered tooth" design, the Stag bucket allows the excavator operator to focus full breakout force on one tooth at a time for tough-surface penetration.

The offset single pointed ripper's design allows the entire breakout force of the carrier to be focused on one shorter tooth and rip a side wall flat.
