Kubota's first Utility Vehicle, the RTV900, comes in four configurations. It has variable hydrostatic transmission and hydraulic power steering. Three-range shifting provides diverse operational speeds for climbing hills and hauling or towing a load. It has 4WD with a 2WD selection and is powered by a Kubota three-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine rated at 22 horsepower. The wheelbase is 77.4 inches for stability, and MacPherson-type strut front suspension and semi-independent rear suspension axle provide a smooth ride.
