Komatsu D65-17 crawler dozer has an 8.9-liter, Tier 4-Interim Komatsu SAA6D114E-5 engine. A standard (EX), low-ground pressure (PX), and wide (WX) track model are available with operating weights ranging from 44,355 to 49,315 pounds. They push with a net 205 horsepower at 1950 rpm. Equipped with the company’s Sigmadozer blade. New automatic transmission with lock up torque converter reduces fuel consumption, the company says. Automatic mode offers four forward and reverse speeds; manual has three forward and three reverse. Newly designed joystick features thumb push buttons for gear shifting.
