Keytroller Start-Smart

Sept. 28, 2010
The Keytroller Start-Smart keyless ignition system replaces the ignition key with a “virtually indestructible” metal piezo (pressure-sensitive) keypad. To start the vehicle, enter the proper code, and if the panel flashes green, indicating the code is accepted, push the start button. Press the stop button to shut down the engine. The system is available also in an anti-theft version, which incorporates a wireless relay in the ignition, starter or fuel-pump circuit. According to Keytroller, a thief cannot “hot wire” the vehicle without first enabling the relay.
