John Deere has added an Tier 4-Interim (T4-I) engine option for its 744K wheel loader. The 9-liter diesel was certified by the Environmental Protection Agency in March.

John Deere has added an Tier 4-Interim (T4-I) engine option for its 744K wheel loader. The 9-liter diesel was certified by the Environmental Protection Agency in March, the company says, and provides the same 304 horsepower as the Tier 3 engine. Deere uses cooled exhaust gas recirculation in its T4-I solution. The 744K operating weight is 54,527 pounds.
