Engineered for large-scale scraper operations, the new range of John Deere 9030-Series scraper tractors (9430, 9530 and 9630) provide horsepower ratings from 425 to 530. All three new models use a John Deere PowerTech Plus diesel engine, which features exhaust-gas recirculation, variable-geometry turbocharger, up to 38-percent torque rise and a “10-percent power bulge to bring more power and performance to the ground.” A new Vari-Cool fan runs only at speeds necessary to meet engine-cooling requirements, thus reducing horsepower draw and conserving fuel. The new tractors feature an 18F/6R powershift transmission, an AutoLoad system that, when used with John Deere scrapers, automatically varies the height of the cutting edge to match load conditions; a pair of 7-inch-diameter tapered roller bearings in the articulation joint; and a 350-gallon fuel tank.

The 300G LC excavator replaces the 290G LC and delivers 19 percent more horsepower, 17 percent more swing torque, and larger hydraulic pumps than its predecessor.

The John Deere 9R/9RT Scraper Special Series tractor range now includes the company’s largest model to date, the 9620R.
