JCB has added the high-capacity 550-80 to its telehandler line. The new model is powered by a 130-horsepower JCB engine and features a powershift transmission, 37-gpm variable-flow hydraulics and high-flow pipework for rapid cycle times and auxiliary service flow.

Servo controls are standard. With a lift height of 26 feet 7 inches, the machine has a maximum lift capacity of 11,000 pounds. The Z-bar bucket linkage contributes to 14,600 pounds of breakout force for digging applications.

JCB says its inner boom has been specially designed for strength and reliability and the "Smooth Ride System" (boom suspension) offers improved load retention and increased operator comfort. A low boom line aids visibility.
