Updated R260-9A excavator has a 178-horsepower Tier 4-Interim Cummins QSB6.7 engine. Operating weight is 56,880 pounds; bucket digging force is 35,270 lb.-ft.; and maximum dig depth is 23 feet. A redesigned hydraulic system improves touch and controllability. Cabs have stronger but slimmer tubing for safety and visibility, and high-strength steel forms a more durable upper and lower frame. A newly designed color LCD Display cluster has digital gauges for monitoring temperature, fuel levels and other maintenance items. Hi-mate Remote Management System allows operators and dealer service personnel to access service and diagnostic information via the internet. Daily reports cover location, working hours, fuel consumption and periodic maintenance needed.
