Honda EU6500is Generator

Honda replaced its EX4500, EX5500 and ES6500 with the new EU6500is, rated at 6,500 watts and designed for simultaneous 120-volt and 240-volt output. Compared to the EX5500, the new EU6500is has 33-percent smaller footprint, weighs 35 percent less (at 253 pounds), and about 5 dB(A) quieter at rated load. Honda's Eco-Throttle and inverter reduce gas consumption by 30 percent.

The inverter in the new model is credited with enhanced commercial-grade power output at wave-form distortion less than 2.5 percent. Estimated list price: $4,000.
