Two models mark the first of two waves of Dash-5 excavator introductions—the ZX290LC-5 and ZX870LC-5. Four more will be coming later this summer with additional machines to follow. Features include improved hydraulics, arm digging force, bucket digging force, lift capacity, swing speed, swing torque, hydraulic flow, engine horsepower and drawbar pull. Extended frame houses updated cooling components and Tier 4-I Isuzu engines. Multifunction monitor provides enhanced diagnostic features.
Tier 4-Final upgrades to the Cat 390F and 374F excavators include the Cat ACERT C15 with 472 horsepower in the 374F and the C18 with 524 horsepower in the 390F.
The 323F L excavator has a 161-horsepower C7.1 engine, which gives it 9 percent better fuel efficiency than the E Series predecessor.
ZX180LC-5 excavator from Hitachi has a boom/arm configuration that provides greater lift capacity than its smaller sibling, the ZX160LC-5, and it has a wider undercarriage for more stability.
EX5600-6 excavator has increased production capacity without a significant increase in its footprint, according to Hitachi.
