Genie Telescoping Booms - S-80, S-85

Redesigned versions of the S-80 and S-85 telescopic booms have been introduced by Genie Industries. Along with fixed axle widths, faster elevation times and improved software, the updated lifts feature the virtual pivot boom design launched by Genie on the S-60 and S-65 models in 2003. This design keeps the weight of the boom over the chassis’ center of gravity as it elevates, eliminating the need for additional counterweight and keeping the overall weight of the unit down. With the fixed axle widths, total machine width remains at 8 feet 2 inches, be it on the trailer or worksite. No special permits are needed to transport the boom on a standard equipment trailer, and the unit is ready to drive right off upon arrival at the site.
