Furukawa Rock Drill HCR1500 ED Series II has an extendable boom with a self-adjusting drill system. Operating weight is 39,286 pounds, and the unit is powered by a 348-horsepower Cat C9 Tier 3 engine. The drill has 12-foot rods with the extendable boom, and advanced rotary rod changer. Furukawa undercarriage with a pentagonal section design reduces dirt build-up and track wear, the company says. Other features include a single-lever drilling control and high-visibility gauges.
