Doosan DL200-5 Wheel Loader Adds Hydrostatic Drive

Dec. 1, 2015

The DL200-5 wheel loader is Doosan’s first with hydrostatic drive, the company says. Also available as a tool carrier, DL200TC-5, the loaders replace the Dash-3 versions with a Tier 4-Final engine rated at 142 horsepower.

Two lift-arm designs are available, standard Z-bar or parallel lift, that pair with a 2.6-cubic-yard bucket. Three power modes adjust to engine rpm without affecting travel speed: power, standard and economy.

Three traction modes include max, for maximum force; traction control provides three levels of reduced force; and S-Mode for slippery roadway conditions. A speed-management feature allows operators to obtain full engine rpm, yet fine tune the maximum machine travel speed via seven present levels within first gear, up to 8 mph.

Cab enhancements include an improved adjustable steering column to provide more leg room, ease of operation and more floor space; a new fuel consumption gauge shows how much fuel is being used in real time.

Serviceability updates include additional oil sampling ports and the ability to monitor various fluid pressures via the dash panel inside the cab.
