Designed as a "Saver"

Sept. 28, 2010

The 15,700-pound Mauldin 1750-C commercial paver is designed to save fuel, labor and asphalt, says the manufacturer. The 80-hp John Deere forward-mounted engine sits over the tracks for the traction necessary to help push trucks up hills and around sharp turns at paving speeds to 140 feet per minute. Its Symphony screed, providing paving widths from 8 to 16 feet, weighs 4,100 pounds and has four augers—two of which are power-extendible. Estimated list price: $91,700.
