A 110-horsepower John Deere PowerTech 4.5-L Tier 4-Interim diesel powers the John Deere 605K crawler loader, which has an operating weight of 26,940 pounds and bucket breakout force of 24,054 lb.-ft. Bucket heaped capacity is 1.7 cubic yards. Hydrostatic transmission provides infinite speed control, power management, live power turns, counter rotation while staying in gear, and dynamic braking. The transmission controls allow operators to pick between the V-pattern or joystick transmission control option. Total Machine Control allows customized machine response that can be tailored to meet the needs of individual operators. Bucket options include a general-purpose bucket or a 4-in-1 multipurpose bucket with lifetime lubricated bucket pivot pins.
