Dana Spicer Central Tire Inflation

The Central Tire Inflation (CTI) System is now a factory-installed option for Sterling L-Line trucks. CTI allows drivers to quickly and easily change tire pressure while moving from pavement to soft soil and back. It has three selectable modes: Highway, with tires fully inflated for high-speed travel on paved surfaces; Off-Highway, at reduced tire pressure for moving over sand, mud and other loose soils; and Emergency, with extra-low tire pressure to help free a stuck vehicle or to better handle other extreme conditions. CTI is replacing the more expensive all-wheel drive in many mixer and block delivery operations.
