Cummins MidRange Engines for Medium-duty Trucks

March 22, 2016

Cummins MidRange engines for medium-duty trucks include the 2017 B6.7 and the 2017 L9.

The B6.7, with a 200- to 325-horsepower, 520-lb.-ft. to 750-lb.-ft. ratings range, features increased fuel economy, Cummins says. Optimized for stop-and-go duty cycles, the B6.7 efficiency ratings of 200 to 260 horsepower offer an increase in fuel economy of up to 7 percent over current product. With ratings from 260 horsepower to 380 horsepower and 720 lb.-ft. to 1,250 lb.-ft., the 2017 L9 has a new 350-horsepower, 1,150-lb.-ft. rating that maintains more power and torque across a wider rpm range, designed for vocational duty cycles.
