An alliance of two venerable compact-tractor brands extends its two-year old compact utility tractor line with the 31-horsepower Cub CadetYanmar Sx3100 compact backhoe loader. The four-wheel-drive tractor’s integrated backhoe digs to 6 feet 9 inches deep and its loader can lift 964 pounds. A three-cylinder Yanmar diesel delivers power and the two-range hydrostatic transmission requires no shifting. The maker says its drive-over 60-inch mower deck attaches in a few simple steps. There’s a standard two-year, 2,000-hour warranty on the tractor and three-year, 2,000-hour warranty on the power train.
