Western Star has launched a series of heavy duty trucks aimed at vocational and municipal customers who want powertrains smaller than those in full Class 8 models.
The customizable 4900 model has a short, sloped hood and a compact 109- inch bumper-to-back-of-cab dimension. It comes with a forward- or rear- set steer axle from Meritor, AAC or Dana.
