As a lower-cost alternative to traditional articulated and rigid-frame haul trucks used in mining and quarry applications, Western Star has “uprated” an on/off-highway truck to haul loads up to 40 tons. According to the company, the three-axle 6900 XD is designed to minimize cost per ton of material hauled.
