In what is described as the most powerful offering in the 108-year history of Mack Trucks, the Titan by Mack calls on a 16-liter Mack MP10 engine topping out at 605 horsepower and 2,060 ft.-lbs. of torque.
Big power, extra-strong chassis components, bold styling and a posh interior are among features of Mack Trucks' Titan, a severe-service model designed for heavy transport and construction applications. Due out late this fall, the Titan will be powered by a new 16.1-liter MP10 diesel with up to 605 horsepower and 2,060 pounds-feet.
The TerraPro Cabover offers a choice of Mack's U.S.-2007-certified MP7 and MP8 engines with ratings up to 485 horsepower and new multiplexed VMAC IV electronics. The chassis features new engine and cab mounts designed to produce a much quieter cab with less vibration. The interior has been redesigned toenhance the driver environment.
Mack stretched its Granite MP cab 4 inches for more leg and belly room and updated the interior with wrap-around instrument panel, suspended pedals, better insulation, and more storage.
