The Department of Transportation created the N.C. Mobility Fund to help fund large projects, and money was also shifted to focus on projects with the greatest need.
Projects include the completion of the city’s outerbelt, the rebuilding of the Yadkin River bridge on Interstate 85 and the completion of Interstate 485.
