Caterpillar to Close Three Illinois Facilities

Caterpillar will close three Illinois component production facilities in a move that will impact approximately 170 jobs, according to the Peoria Jounral Star.

Caterpillar will close three Illinois component production facilities in a move that will impact approximately 170 jobs, according to the Peoria Jounral Star. The Anchor Coupling facilities will move production from plants in Dixon and Sterling, Ill., to an existing facility in Menominee, Mich. Production will slow at the end of 2014, with the transition taking place in the first quarter of 2015.

Anchor Coupling is a subsidiary of Caterpillar, and manufactures hydraulic hose assemblies for Caterpillar and other OEMS.
